1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display nickname. During use of the app, we collect focus session data (duration, timestamps) and friend connection data.

Screen Time data used for app blocking is processed entirely on your device through Apple's Screen Time API. We do not have access to which specific apps you block or your Screen Time settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide the Lock In Together service: managing your account, enabling focus sessions with friends, tracking your progress (streaks, weekly goals, calendar), and displaying activity in the social feed. We may use aggregated, anonymized data to improve the app experience.

3. Data Storage

Your account and session data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication). Data is stored on servers located in the United States. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Your focus session activity may be visible to friends you have connected with in the app. We may share data with service providers (Firebase/Google) solely for the purpose of operating the service.

5. Age Requirements

Lock In Together is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can delete your account and all associated data from within the app settings. Upon account deletion, all your personal data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the effective date above. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
